Barthlemew 3rd - Grant Lanier 4th Annual Strawberry Bakeoff![]() PONCHATOULA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL BAKING CONTEST SPONSORED BY: WINN DIXIE SATURDAY MARCH 14th, 2009 FOOD CATEGORIES Strawberry Cake Strawberry Jelly/Jams Strawberry Pie Strawberry Muffin, Loaves & Cookies Strawberry Misc Other Strawberry Dessert AGE CATEGORIES ENTRY FEES Adults 18 and UP $5.00 Grades 1st – 8th $2.00 Grades 9th – 12th $5.00 High School Team $8.00 JUDGING Memorial Park in Ponchatoula Drop-Off: 11am – 1pm Judging: 1pm – 2pm AWARDS (Winner need NOT be present) All Participants in Grades 1-12 will receive a Medal 1st Place winners in Grades 1-8 will receive a Gift Basket 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners in grades 9-12 & Adults 18 and Up categories will receive a Ribbon. In the Adult category 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will receive a Gift Card. The overall winner in the High School Team Category will receive a Plaque to display in their kitchen and a $250.00 donation. RULES All entries must be brought to the Memorial Park between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. One entry per category with a maximum entry of 2 categories per person/team. All entries MUST be submitted in a disposable container and MUST be accompanied with disposable serving utensils. By entering contest participants must verify that the recipe(s) are unique and winners must grant permission to the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival Board to use the recipe(s) for publication and distribution. Pies must be presented in either an 8” or 9” format. Loaves must be presented in 7”x4” format.
