Hello everyone. I am Jeni Abrams the 18 year old daughter of Robin and Charles Abrams of Loranger. I have a 15 year old brother, Taylor who attends Loranger High School. I attend Southeastern Louisiana University where I am studying Biology with the plans to become a Pharmacist.

I have wanted to be the “BIG” Strawberry queen every since I was very small girl. Watching many wonderful queens before me, I always wondered what it would feel like to have that beautiful crown on my head. On June 7th 2008 I did not have to wonder any longer as I was crowned LOUISIANA STRAWBERRY QUEEN XXXVIII.

My family looks forward to the Strawberry Festival every year. We think of this event as another holiday. This year will not be any different except for that fact that I will have the opportunity to represent all the hard working farmers of Ponchatoula as I reign over the 2009 festival. I have traveled all over Louisiana making new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. At this time I would like to invite all of you to Ponchatoula April 3rd through the 5th where I guarantee the people you meet will be as sweet as the berries you will eat.
