  • The Strawberry Festival is a 3-day festival held annually in Ponchatoula, the Strawberry Capital of the World. Each year, around 300,000 visitors attend to enjoy the rides, free live music, and food and drinks from our local non-profit vendors.

  • The festival is held in April of each year at Ponchatoula Memorial Park on North 6th Street. The 2024 festival will take place on April 12th, 13th, and 14th.

  • Nope! Entry to the festival is free - we are proud to host the state’s largest free harvest festival.

  • The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival does not have any designated parking. There are several lots surrounding Memorial Park where attendees can park your car for a fee, which typically benefits a local non-profit. Free parking is limited, so please prepare accordingly.

  • Yes! Our booths are operated by local non-profit organizations which serve food and drinks at varying prices.

  • You can find information on how to become a food vendor and access the Booth Entry Form on the BOOTHS page of our website. All vendors MUST be non-profit organizations and properly registered with the Secretary of State’s office.

  • A variety of artists and bands play at the Strawberry Festival each year - our current lineup can be found on the ENTERTAINMENT page of our website.

  • The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival does not host any arts and crafts vendors on our festival grounds. However, the Ponchatoula Country Market, which is located in close proximity to the festival, does. For more information, please visit their website.

  • Only cash is accepted at the Strawberry Festival. We have multiple ATMs on festival grounds, which you can find on our Festival Map.

The festival

  • The Strawberry Festival Parade is held on the Saturday morning of festival weekend. The 2024 parade will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 9:30am.

  • The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival Parade runs through downtown Ponchatoula, starting at the Ponchatoula Lions Club and ending at Kiwanis Park. You can find our parade route map and more information on the PARADE page of our website.

The Parade

  • The 2024 Strawberry Festival Pageant will take place is TBD.

  • The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival does not host the children’s pageant. This pageant is hosted by the Louisiana Strawberry Preserve Society using our name. While we are not technically the host, the winners of this pageant will still be able to ride in our parade along with our royalty and will be introduced on stage during the Festival.   • All festival merchandise is created and sold by the Ponchatoula Kiwanis Club, which also hosts the poster contest. For more information, please visit their website.

  • No. The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival is a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Louisiana. All Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival logos and namesakes are registered trademarks of Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival. Any review, disclosure, copying, dissemination, distribution or other use of our logos and namesakes is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The list of registered tradenames that we own and have rights to include: Strawberry Fest, Strawberry Festival, Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, ‘Toula Strawberry Festival, Ponchatoula Strawberry, and Louisiana Strawberry.
